Fairmont State University offers Majorettes scholarship

Hundreds of majorettes have come to Fairmont State University to participate in the 70^th Drum Majorettes of America National Finals, which is taking place in the Joe Retton Arena of the Feaster Center through Wednesday.

Now the trip may be even more memorable for the participants of the organization’s championship round. Dr. Stephen B. Jones, FSU’s interim president, attended Drum Majorettes of America’s opening ceremonies Sunday afternoon and offered a $500 scholarship to any 2017 national finals participant.
